Join us for a unique tour of Singapore, aboard your own eScooter.
After a friendly meet and greet, which will include a 15-minute training and safety briefing and an opportunity to practice on your new mode of transport, we’ll make our way to the Marina Bay area, gliding alongside the glorious Singapore River, enjoying old city vs new city views as we go.
Our first official stop will be in the charming colonial district, where arts and history are the order of the day. Marvel at the majestic National Gallery building and the colourful (and very Instagram-friendly) 19th-century shophouses as you let your guide tell you about the birth of this modern metropolis.
From the 1800s to the 2000s, our next stop is the ultra-modern Marina Bay waterfront, which boasts stunning views of the city’s iconic skyline. We’ll glide along palm tree-lined walkways, past skyscrapers and outdoor art installations, and watch the river traffic float by.
Next, we’ll hit the iconic Marina Bay Sands Resort. A $5.7-billion hotel and home to a 150-metre infinity swimming pool on its roof with views of the bay.
Then we’ll head over to the Marina Barrage, a dam built at the confluence of five rivers, a recreational facility and a reservoir all rolled into one. Here you’ll learn how Singapore overcame the consistent floods within this area by building a dam that’s capable of flushing out water at the capacity of one Olympic size swimming pool every minute!
At some point, we’ll make a stop for a light snack and a drink.
If you have not been wowed enough yet, our next and final stop is sure to be the wow to end all wows. Gardens by the Bay is a futuristic, multi-award-winning horticultural spectacular that offers 101 hectares of mind-boggling garden displays for you to gaze in awe at. The huge tree-shaped vertical gardens are a particular highlight and if you are joining us for the evening eScooter tour, we’ll stop to enjoy the magical light and sound show that takes place here at dusk, where the trees come alive and seemingly dance to the sounds of classical music.
This billion-dollar garden is packed with technology and rather remarkably, it is run in a very sustainable way, by harnessing the sun’s energy for power and storing rainwater to irrigate the thriving plant life.
As the garden finishes its last waltz, we’ll head back to the endpoint via the glamourous Helix bridge. Interestingly, this award-winning bridge was designed to look like the double helix that forms DNA structure and is made entirely from stainless steel.
Before you go, don’t forget to ask your guide for tips on what else to see and do during your stay in Singapore.
